| Long Title: | AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE AND 76 DELAWARE LAWS, CHAPTER 79, SECTION 56 RELATING TO THE COUNCIL ON DEVELOPMENT FINANCE. |
| Synopsis: | This Act implements the recommendations for statutory changes adopted by the Joint Sunset Committee following its review of the Council on Development Finance and deletes Volume 76, Chapter 79, § 56, Laws of Delaware, entitled “Council on Development Finance.”. Pursuant to the recommendations of the Joint Sunset Committee, this Act makes the following changes to 29 Del. C. §5007, subsections (a) through (h):
provides that the Council on Development Finance may engage professional contractual services when necessary and that the Office of the Controller General will administer such contracts;
provides that a designee from the Office of the Controller General and a designee from the Office of Management and Budget will assist Council members by providing analysis and research;
provides new requirements for membership on the Council: Delaware residency and equal distribution of members among the three counties;
provides that members serve three-year terms;
provides that members may be reappointed indefinitely; and
provides that the chairperson for the Council on Development Finance shall be appointed by the Governor, serve a two-year term and may be reappointed.
