Purpose of the Bill : The bill is modeled after New Castle County's provision that allows the Department of Land Use to grant administrative variances when there is a minor violation (under 1 foot) of the dimensional restrictions of a municipal zoning ordinance. It allows municipalities to pass an ordinance allowing such a variance and establishes standards, procedures, and conditions the legislative body deems appropriate.
