Purpose of the Bill : This Bill exempts operators of authorized emergency vehicles from CDL requirements when in the performance of their official duties and requires these drivers to hold non- CDL Class A or non-CDL Class B licenses. Furthermore, the Amendment limits the non-CDL Class A and Class B licenses to operating within Delaware unless there is a reciprocity agreement with adjoining states as required by federal law.


Committee Findings: There were no major concerns raised about this bill.
