Purpose of the Bill : Section 1 will make it clear that the Superintendent can develop internal policies governing the selection and operation of the Ready Reserve without having to adopt formal regulations under the Administrative Procedures Act.
Section 2 will make it discretionary with the Superintendent whether members of the Ready Reserve have arrest powers consistent with the requirements of the Council on Police Training.


Committee Findings: Rich Dennis of the Delaware State Police explained that this was a clean-up bill from last year’s HB7. There were no concerns or questions from committee members.
