Purpose of the Bill : Matt Denn, Delaware Insurance Commissioner, stated that the bill prohibits an insurance carrier from non-renewing a volunteer fire fighter’s insurance policy based on the fact that they are a volunteer fire fighter.


Committee Findings: Chairwoman Stone asked Mr. Denn if the bill would apply to paramedics. Mr. Denn replied that the bill would only apply to volunteers and not paid staffers.
