Purpose of the Bill : The bill clarifies the role of the Office of Radiation Control, establishes various penalties and fees that may be assessed by the Authority on Radiation Protection, and makes technical changes.


Committee Findings: David Irwin of the Delaware Authority on Radiation Protection explained that the revenue generated from the bill would be used to upgrade technology and provide staff with additional training, and that excess revenue would be added to the general fund. He said that concerned parties had been contacted and were in agreement with the bill. No major concerns were expressed about the bill by members of the committee.
