Long Title:AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 21 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO DISPLAY OF LICENSE PLATES.

Purpose of the Bill : This Act increases the minimum and maximum fines from $25.00 to $100.00 for covering a license plate with tinted material or other material which conceals and/ or obscures any information.

Committee Findings: This bill is supported by the Division of Motor Vehicles.   Toll booth operators have been unable to identify vehicles that use the easy pass lanes without having an easy pass permit when the license plate is concealed by tinted material.  The higher fine reduce the use of these tinting materials.
