Purpose of the Bill : The bill implements the recommendations of the Joint Sunset Committee and establishes the Office of the Commission for Women under the Secretary of State. The Office shall function as an advisory, coordinating and implementing agency to promote and facilitate the full participation of women in all sectors of society. The bill clarifies membership terms and reduces the number of appointees to the Commission from any one political party.
