Purpose of the Bill : This Bill modifies the Beach Preservation Act by changing the words property and property’s to existing structure and existing structure’s in the third sentence of the section to make it clear that property owners will be allowed to maintain their existing buildings within their current dimensions, without fear that the structures will be reduced in size or relocated at some point in the future. The use of the word property may be interpreted to mean the lot not the building on the lot.
