Purpose of the Bill : This bill came as an emergency request from a constituent of Senator Amick's. It is special legislation authorizing Ramatoulaye Bah to be permitted to adopt her 15 year old niece, Raghiatou Bah, by herself as a married person living apart, but not legally separated, from her husband and that such adoption be permitted without the requirement of a social study amd report for the husband of Ramatoulaye Bah, Souleymane Kouyate.

Committee Findings: The committee discovered that this legislation was actually suggested by the Family Court as a means of keeping Ramatoulaye's 15 year old niece from being deported.
