Purpose of the Bill : This bill clarifies how hearings are to be requested by the person or business requesting a hearing.

Committee Findings: Allowing hearings to be conducted at regularly scheduled Board meetings ensures attendance and saves the state time and money in the long-run, without hurting anyone because they still have the opportunity to procure hearings within 10 days of the Director receiving the suspension. This legislation simply gives these people or businesses the option to wait; it does not force them to.
