Purpose of the Bill : This Bill amends the State’s crime victim compensation statute by adding the offenses of sexual assault and sexual abuse. This Bill allows for the reinvestigation of cases involving child sexual abuse, waives the reporting requirement for cases involving children who were victims of sexual assault by an adult and mandates the establishment of streamlined procedures to allow for the provision of psychological services for victims who were minors at the time of the offense.
