Long Title:AN ACT TO AMEND TITLES 4 AND 15 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO ALCOHOL SALES ON ELECTION DAYS.
Committee:HOUSE ADMINISTRATION
Number of Committee Members:5
Date of Report:05/13/2008

Purpose of the Bill : This Bill would allow the sale of alcoholic liquors in establishments licensed for sale for consumption off of the premises where sold, typically package stores, on all election days, general, primary, and special.

Committee Findings: The Committee found that this bill would repeal an antiquated law that requires extra man power and time for law enforcement officers to work on this, determine which stores should be closed because of an election, and then notify the store and notify local law enforcement to make sure that the stores are in compliance.
