Purpose of the Bill : This Act amends the City of Wilmington’s Home Rule Charter to provide that liens for unpaid water and sewer service shall remain liens against the property for 10 years rather than 5 years as currently stated in the Charter.
Committee Findings: The Committee found that this bill will place the City of Wilmington in line with county regulations. It will also be a way to collect the debt owed to the City in a time of a tight budget.
