Purpose of the Bill : The bill allows a controlled-humidity storage facility in Harrington, Delaware, to continue to be used by the Delaware National Guard. The 144th Delaware General Assembly had previously granted the City of Harrington Readiness Center and all structures on the site. The climate-controlled building was constructed with federal funds in 2002. Because it is owned by the United States, it is not subject to transfer at this time. This bill allows the storage facility to continue to be used by the Delaware National Guard and still allow the City of Harrington to possess the Harrington Readiness Center.
Committee Findings: No significant concerns were expressed about the bill.
