Purpose of the Bill : This Bill requires the defendant to submit HIV testing at the request of the victim if the defendant has compelled the victim to engage in sexual activity either through force or threat of force. This will allow the state to continue to receive Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) grant funds.

Committee Findings: The issues raised in committee were related to the defendant recieving psychological support if they test positive for HIV and if the test results are shared with all criminal justice agencies, for example the Judiciary and the Dept. of Corrections.
