Purpose of the Bill : This bill clarifies several provisions of the Sunset Act (Chapter 102 of Title 29) and adds language to streamline the operations of the Sunset Committee including: designating a quorum as 6 members of the Committee, requiring the presence of the chief administrative officer of an agency under review at all public hearings and meetings, providing that certain materials of the Committee are subject to mandatory public disclosure, creating a monitoring program for agencies that have previously been reviewed, requiring an agency under review to submit any information to the Committee that the Committee has determined is necessary for its review, and clarifying the number of agencies that will be subject to review during the next review period.
