Purpose of the Bill : Section 1 of this bill will satisfy the requirements of the Federal Bureau of Investigation for obtaining a national criminal history record check. The national criminal history record check is not available from the Federal Bureau of Investigation without this amendment.
Section 2 is a technical correction.
Section 3 makes changes to provisions that have created an impediment to implementing the law. Section 4 is a technical correction. The paragraphs deleted by Section 5 were not part of the Uniform Debt Management Services Act drafted by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws that served as the model for the Delaware law.
Section 6 is a technical correction providing that an initial $250,000 insurance requirement be met for licensure such that this section of the Code is consistent with the renewal insurance requirement in § 2411A(5).
Committee Findings: The committee found no problems with the bill.
