Long Title:AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 16 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO 911-ENHANCED EMERGENCY NUMBER SERVICE.
Synopsis:This Bill amends the Enhanced 911 statute as it relates to the operation of the E911 Board by permitting an actual appointed member of the Board to designate a proxy for a meeting he or she cannot attend. The limit on the amount of times a member can proxy in a calendar year is 3. The bill also amends the statute to permit actions to be taken by the Board by a majority of those members present where a quorum has been established, rather than only when there has been a majority vote by the entire membership of the Board. The purpose of these changes is to further the ability of the Board to conduct business in an efficient and timely manner.
