Long Title:DIRECTING A STRATEGY TO CONSTRUCT FISCAL YEAR 2009 STATE GOVERNMENT APPROPRIATIONS.
Synopsis:This Resolution directs the General Assembly and the Governor to comprehensively address the current Delaware financial situation by using a strategy to include but not be limited to base budget cuts, revenue enhancements and program re-engineering while limiting reductions to Public Education. In addition, every effort will be made to eliminate vacant positions and the current hiring freeze to reduce the state workforce in lieu of employee layoffs.
