| Long Title: | AN ACT TO AMEND TITLES 16 AND 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES, DEATH CERTIFICATES, AND CEMETERIES. |
| Synopsis: | This Bill in Section 1 provides for the registration of cemeteries. In addition, a distressed cemetery fund is established to be administered by the Cemetery Board created by the Bill. The Board also has the authority to refer complaints regarding cemeteries to appropriate agencies or other organizations. Administrative support is provided by the Department of Health and Social Services supported by registration fees. Section 2 provides for funding the distressed cemetery fund by adding $2 to the cost of each death certificate. The Fund can also receive donations or bequests. Section 3 creates a clear record of the burial site in the Office of Vital Statistics.
