| Long Title: | MOURNING THE DEATHS OF THE PRESIDENT, FIRST LADY AND MANY OTHER LEADERS OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND WHO TRAGICALLY DIED IN A PLANE CRASH ON APRIL 10, 2010; REMEMBERING THE SACRIFICE OF THE APPROXIMATELY 22,000 POLISH CITIZENS EXECUTED IN 1940 BY THE SOVIET SECRET POLICE ON THIS 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE KATYN MASSACRE; AND OBSERVING APRIL AS A MONTH OF REMEMBRANCE TO HONOR THE MEMORY OF THE VICTIMS OF BOTH OF THESE TRAGIC EVENTS. |
| Synopsis: | This concurrent resolution: mourns the deaths of Poland’s President and First Lady, Lech and Maria Kaczynski, and the many other Polish leaders who died in a plane crash on April 10, 2010; remembers the sacrifice of the approximately 22,000 Polish citizens killed in the 1940 on this 70th Anniversary of the Katyn Massacre; and designates the month of April as a month of remembrance to honor the victims of these tragedies.
