| Long Title: | AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 27, TITLE 24 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYORS. |
| Synopsis: | This bill creates a certificate of authorization process for corporations and partnerships engaged in the practice of professional land surveying. The certification process reflects the changes in business organization in the surveying profession since the licensing statute was first created, and is intended to make it easier for consumers and others to identify the professional land surveyor who is in responsible charge of a survey.
It is based upon the existing certificate of authorization process used by the professional engineering community in Delaware.
The bill also increases the maximum potential fine for those surveyors found subject to discipline by the Board, to a level similar to that adopted by professional surveying boards in other states.
