DELAWARE GENERAL ASSEMBLY LEGISLATIVE LIBRARY
The legislative library serves the members of the General Assembly and legislative staff. Time permitting, the librarian assists state agencies and the general public with requests for legislative information. Materials available in the library include general and legal reference books, House and Senate Journals, all legislation introduced since 1973, the Laws of Delaware from colonial times to the present, and unofficial reference copies of the Delaware Landlord/Tenant Code and the divorce section of the Domestic Relations Code. The library also provides to the General Assembly access to databases for bills, statutes, and caselaw from all fifty states and the federal government, policy reports, rules and regulations, newspapers, and journals. Computer workstations are available with CD ROMS for all patrons; however, Internet access is available only to legislative staff.
The library is located on the ground floor of Legislative Hall.
| HOURS: | Regular hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. When the General Assembly is in session, the library is open until both the Senate and the House of Representatives have recessed. |
