SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 2

TO

SENATE BILL NO. 262

AMEND Senate Bill No. 262 on line 14 by deleting “90,000 pound weight limit” and inserting in lieu thereof “ 90,000 pound weight limit established weight limit ”.

FURTHER AMEND Senate Bill No. 262 by inserting the following after line 34 and before line 35:

“ D. The truck hauling farm produce does not use the interstate highway system. ”.

FURTHER AMEND Senate Bill No. 262 on line 50 by deleting “90,000 pound weight limit” and inserting in lieu thereof “ 90,000 pound weight limit established weight limit ”.

FURTHER AMEND Senate Bill No. 262 by inserting the following after line 70 and before line 71:

“ D. The truck hauling farm produce does not use the interstate highway system. ”.

SYNOPSIS

This Amendment does the following:

(1) Makes a technical correction to ensure the weight limit established on lines 11 and 12 and 47 and 48 of Senate Bill No. 262 clearly applies to other applicable provisions by using language consistent with that on lines 13 and 49 of Senate Bill No. 262.

(2) Like Senate Amendment No. 1, adds a prohibition on using the interstate highway system for certain trucks hauling farm produce.
