HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

HOUSE BILL NO. 71

AMEND House Bill No. 71 on line 6 by deleting “ tick-related diseases ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ tickborne diseases ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 71 on line 10 by inserting “ and other tickborne diseases ” after “disease”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 71 on line 13 by deleting “ tick-related diseases ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ tickborne diseases ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 71 on line 14 by deleting “ tick-related diseases ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ tickborne diseases ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 71 on lines 17 and 18 by deleting “ tick-related diseases ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ tickborne diseases ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 71 on lines 20 and 21 by deleting “ tick-related diseases ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ tickborne diseases ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 71 on line 24 by deleting “ tick-related diseases ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ tickborne diseases ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 71 on line 28 by deleting “ tick-related diseases ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ tickborne diseases ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 71 by deleting lines 30 and 31 in their entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

“Section 3. The Lyme Disease Education Oversight Board expires on August 29, 2032, unless otherwise provided by a subsequent act of the General Assembly.”

SYNOPSIS

This amendment makes technical changes by changing “tick-related diseases” to “tickborne diseases”. This amendment also clarifies that the Lyme Disease Oversight Board expires on August 29, 2032 unless otherwise provided by a subsequent act of the General Assembly.
