HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

HOUSE BILL NO. 117

AMEND House Bill No. 117 on line 12 by deleting “ purpose ” as it appears therein and inserting in lieu thereof “ purposes ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 117 on line 16 by deleting “§ 1706” as it appears therein and inserting in lieu thereof “§ 1706(1)”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 117 on line 20 by inserting “bonds” after “no” and before “authorized” therein.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 117 by striking “Section 4.” on line 44 and substituting in lieu thereof “Section 5.”

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 117 by inserting after line 43 and before line 44 the following:

“Section 4. Amend Chapter 17, Title 22 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:

§ 1716. Special Provision Applicable to the City of Dover, Delaware.

Any ordinance, resolution, or other law enacted by the City of Dover, Delaware under the provisions of this chapter may not pledge the full faith and credit of the City of Dover towards the payment of any bonds authorized by this chapter. ”

SYNOPSIS

This amendment corrects certain typographical errors in the Bill as originally introduced.

This amendment also eliminates the option otherwise available to the City of Dover to pledge its full faith and credit to the payment of bonds issued under the Municipal Tax Increment Financing Act.
