SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO
SENATE BILL NO. 117
AMEND Senate Bill No. 117 by deleting lines 4 through 6 in their entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
“ The Delaware Department of Education shall designate any school, including a district or charter school, as a Purple Star School if the school applies and qualifies for the designation under this section.
(a) To qualify as a Purple Star School, a school must: ”
FURTHER AMEND Senate Bill No. 117 on line 11 by deleting “ campus ” and substituting in lieu thereof “ school .”
FURTHER AMEND Senate Bill No. 117 on line 12 by deleting “ campus ” and substituting in lieu thereof “ school .”
FURTHER AMEND Senate Bill No. 117 on line 28 by deleting “ campus ” and substituting in lieu thereof “ school .”
FURTHER AMEND Senate Bill No. 117 by adding the following after line 28:
“ d. Other incentives as identified through the Department of Education’s rules and regulations. ”
SYNOPSIS
This amendment changes the terminology in the bill from “campus” to “school” and makes it explicit that the bill applies to district and charter schools.
