Office of the Chief Clerk of the House

The Chief Clerk is the chief administrative officer of the House of Representatives. A full-time employee, the Chief Clerk serves all forty-one members of the House. Primary duties include numbering and printing of all legislation introduced, recording all votes taken on the House floor and certifying the daily House Journal. The Chief Clerk is the chief parliamentarian and advises the Speaker of the House on parliamentary matters.
