CHAPTER 161.

OF THE SALE AND INSPECTION OF BREAD STUFFS.

AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 209, OF VOLUME 20, LAWS OF DELAWARE, ENTITLED ''AN ACT TO PREVENT DECEPTION IN THE MANUFACTURE AND SALE OF IMITATION BUTTER," BY STRIKING OUT SECTION 4 OF SAID ACT REQUIRING A PLACARD ON TUBS, &C., INSERTING THE SAME IN SECTION I THEREOF.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:

Section 1. That Chapter 209 of Volume 20, Laws of Delaware, entitled "An Act to prevent deception in the manufacture and sale of imitation butter," be and the same is hereby amended by striking out all of Section 4 thereof, and by inserting in Section I thereof after the word "butter" in the thirteenth line of said Section the following:

"But when any person exposes for sale in this State oleo-margarine, butterine, or any substance made in imitation or semlance of pure butter, such person shall have conspicuously upon or across the surface of the exposed contents of every open tub, package or parcel thereof a placard with the words `Oleomargarine,' 'butterine' or whatever the name of the contents of the package may be, printed thereon in plain, uncondensed Gothic letters, not less than one inch long."
