FREE SCHOOLS

AN ACT to require the Teaching of the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Delaware in the Public and Private Schools of the State of Delaware.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:

Section I. In all public and private schools located within the State of Delaware, commencing with the school year State and Nation required next ensuing after the passage of this Act, there shall be given regular courses of instruction in the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Delaware.

Section 2. Such instruction in the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Delaware shall begin not later than the opening of the Eighth Grade, and shall continue in the High School course and in courses in State Colleges, Universities and the educational departments of State and municipal institutions to an extent to be determined by the State Board of Education.
