STATE REVENUE MOTOR VEHICLES

AN ACT to amend Chapter 6 of the Revised Code of the State of Delaware in relation to Motor Vehicles.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:

That Chapter 6 of the Revised Code of the State of Delaware be, and the same is hereby amended by the repeal of section 254 Sec. 217 thereof, and the insertion in lieu thereof of the following section which shall be styled 254 Sec. 217.

"254 Sec. 217. Vehicles owned and controlled by non-residents of this State, who are residents or citizens of foreign nations, and the drivers and operators thereof, shall be accorded the free use of the highways of this State without restriction by way of license or registration and without the imposition of any tax or fee; provided further, that this Section shall not apply to vehicles owned or controlled by residents or citizens of foreign nations and drivers and operators thereof, when such foreign nations do not extend similar privileges to the residents of the United States of America.

The term 'vehicle' as used in this section, shall include automobiles, motorcycles, horse drawn vehicles, carriages and all other means of conveyance except such as run only upon rails or tracks."
