CHAPTER 138

SALARIES OF CERTAIN COUNTY OFFICERS KENT AND SUSSEX COUNTIES

AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 53 OF THE REVISED CODE OF DELAWARE, 1935, ENTITLED "SALARIES OF CERTAIN COUNTY OFFICERS" IN RELATION TO THE SALARIES OF CERTAIN COUNTY OFFICERS OF KENT AND SUSSEX COUNTIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:

Section 1. That Chapter 53 of the Revised Code of Delaware, 1935, be and the same is hereby amended by striking out and repealing all of the second and third paragraphs of 1597. Section 6 thereof and inserting in lieu thereof two new second and third paragraphs, as follows:

In Kent County, the Clerk of the Peace shall receive Two Thousand and Four Hundred Dollars; the Sheriff, Two Thousand and Four Hundred Dollars; the Coroner, One Thousand and Four Hundred Dollars; the Prothonotary, Two Thousand and Four Hundred Dollars; the Recorder, Two Thousand and Four Hundred Dollars; the Register of Wills, Two Thousand and Four Hundred Dollars; the Register in Chancery, One Thousand and Two Hundred Dollars; the Clerk of the Orphans' Court, One Thousand and Two Hundred Dollars; and the County Comptroller, Two Thousand and Four Hundred Dollars.

In Sussex County, the Clerk of the Peace shall receive Two Thousand and Four Hundred Dollars; the Sheriff, Two Thousand and Four Hundred Dollars; the Coroner, One Thousand and Four Hundred Dollars; the Prothonotary, Two Thousand and Four Hundred Dollars; the Recorder, Two Thousand and Four Hundred Dollars; the Register of Wills, Two Thousand and Four Hundred Dollars; the Register in Chancery, One Thousand and Two Hundred Dollars; and the Clerk of the Orphans' Court, One Thousand and Two Hundred Dollars.
