CHAPTER 151 - INSPECTORS OF ELECTIONS
AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 59 OF THE REVISED CODE OF DELAWARE, 1935, ENTITLED, "INSPECTORS OF ELECTIONS".
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:
Section 1. That Chapter 59 of the Revised Code of Delaware, 1935, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking out and repealing 1805. Sec. 1. thereof and enacting and inserting in lieu thereof a new Section to be styled 1805. Sec. 1. as follows:
1805. Sec. 1. Inspectors of Elections; How Selected; When: --Inspectors of Election for the several election districts in this State shall be selected in the aforesaid districts from among the election officers who are appointed for such election district. The said election officers when they have met on the day of holding any general or special election at the place designated for holding such election, in their respective election districts, shall organize by selecting one of their number to be Inspector of Elections of their said election district, and the remaining two election officers shall respectively, be the Judges of Election of the election district.
Section 2. That Chapter 59 of the Revised Code of Delaware, 1935, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking out and repealing 1806. Sec. 2. thereof, and enacting and inserting in lieu thereof a new section to be styled 1806. Sec. 2., as follows:
1806. Sec. 2. Election Officers in Each County; Appointed by Whom:--The Department of Elections for New Castle County, the Department of Elections for Kent County and the Department of Elections for Sussex County, respectively, shall appoint for each election district in their respective Counties, three persons as Election Officers who shall become Inspector and Judges of Election, as prescribed in the preceding Section, which three persons shall be the same persons who are appointed Registrar and Assistant Registrars for said election district.
Section 3. That 1807. Sec. 3. Chapter 59 of the Revised Code of Delaware, 1935, as amended, be and the same is hereby repealed.
Section 4. That 1809A. Sec. 5A. Chapter 59 of the Revised Code of Delaware, 1935, be and the same is hereby repealed.
Section 5. That all Acts or parts of Act, inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
