HOUSE BILL NO. 416

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO LEAVES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

Section 1. Amend Chapter 59, Title 29 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:

§ 5933. Leaves.

(f) State employees shall be excused from work with pay to attend training camp or special duty on orders as a member of the military reserves of the United States or the National Guard not to exceed 225 hours for employees working a 37.5 hour weekly schedule or 240 hours for employees working a 40 hour weekly schedule.

SYNOPSIS

This Act provides state employees 30 days of leave with pay to attend training camp or special duty on orders as members of the military reserve of the United States or the National Guard. This is an increase from 15 days leave with pay currently provided.
