HOUSE BILL NO. 25

AMEND House Substitute No. 1 to House Bill No. 25 by adding at the end of line 10 the following:

“ Any person who registers to vote the day of the election shall have their vote kept in a provisional ballot envelope, which shall be counted by the Department after the Department verifies the person in question is a qualified voter and has not previously voted in that election. ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Substitute No. 1 to House Bill No. 25 on line 25 by deleting the date January 1, 2022 and replacing it with the date January 1, 2023.

SYNOPSIS

Any person who registers to vote the day of the election shall have their vote kept in a provisional ballot envelope, which shall be counted by the Department after the Department verifies the person in question is a qualified voter and has not previously voted in the election. This also changes the implementation date from January 1, 2022 to January 1, 2023.
