SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

SENATE BILL NO. 35

AMEND Senate Bill No. 35 on line 142 deleting “ Community Workforce Agreement ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Agreement ”.

FURTHER AMEND Senate Bill No. 35 on lines 143 through 144 by deleting “ Community Workforce Agreements ” therein and inserting in lieu thereof “ a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Agreement ”.

FURTHER AMEND Senate Bill No. 35 on line 144 through 145 by deleting “ There will be two different approaches: 1) Community Workforce projects and 2) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE). ” therein.

FURTHER AMEND Senate Bill No. 35 by deleting lines 147 through 154 in their entirety.

FURTHER AMEND Senate Bill No. 35 on line 155 by deleting “ For the Community Workforce projects, the ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ The ”.

FURTHER AMEND Senate Bill No. 35 on line 156 by deleting “ § 6962 (b) is ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ § 6962(b) and (d)(13)a.4 are ”.

FURTHER AMEND Senate Bill No. 35 on line 157 by deleting “ Community Workforce projects ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ DBE components of the project ”.

FURTHER AMEND Senate Bill No. 35 by deleting lines 165 through 168 in their entirety.

FURTHER AMEND Senate Bill No. 35 by deleting lines 175 through 189 in their entirety.

SYNOPSIS

This Amendment removes the project labor requirements from the Office of Management and Budget and Department of Transportation pilot projects proposed in Sections 15 and 16 of Senate Bill No. 35. This Amendment also increases the number of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise pilot projects for the Office of Management and Budget from 1 to 4.
