SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 13

AMEND House Concurrent Resolution No. 13 by deleting lines 1 through 2 in their entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

“WHEREAS, while there are 186,592 Delawareans living with a disability in Delaware, only 1.8% of those individuals, approximately 3,359 Delawareans, have a developmental disability; and

WHEREAS, developmental disabilities result in substantial functional limitations in areas of major life activities, including mobility, cognition, independent living, hearing, vision, and self-care; and”.

FURTHER AMEND House Concurrent Resolution No. 13 on line 15 by deleting "designate" after "hereby" and before "March" therein and inserting in lieu thereof "designates".

SYNOPSIS

This Amendment corrects the number of individuals in Delaware living with developmental disabilities and clarifies the impairments associated with developmental disabilities. This Amendment also corrects a typographical error.
