SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

SENATE BILL NO. 30

Amend Senate Bill No. 30 by, after line 32, inserting the following:

“Section 2. Amend § 6003, Title 7 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:

§ 6003. Permit — Required.

(a) No person shall, without first having obtained a permit from the Secretary, undertake any activity:

(7) To plan or construct any highway corridor or sawmill which may cause or contribute to the discharge of an air contaminant or discharge of pollutants into any surface or ground water.”.

SYNOPSIS

This Amendment clarifies that sawmills are subject to permit requirements under Chapter 60, Title 7, which also ensures that sawmills are subject to regulations adopted under Chapter 60.
