HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

HOUSE BILL NO. 178

AMEND House Bill No. 178 on line 36 by deleting “ 9 ” as it appears therein and inserting in lieu thereof “ 11 ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 178 after line 38 and before line 39 by inserting the following and redesignating accordingly:

“ (3) The President of Delaware Technical Community College or the President’s designee. ”

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 178 on line 39 by deleting “ Seven ” as it appears therein and inserting in lieu thereof “ Eight ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 178 after line 43 and before line 44 by inserting the following and redesignating accordingly:

“ d. One appointed member shall be a superintendent of a vocational-technical school district or the superintendent’s designee. ”

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 178 on line 51 by deleting “ 3 ” as it appears therein and inserting in lieu thereof “ 2 ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 178 on line 53 by deleting “ 3 ” as it appears therein and inserting in lieu thereof “ 2 ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 178 on line 60 by deleting “ 3 ” as it appears therein and inserting in lieu thereof “ 2 ”.

SYNOPSIS

This Amendment to House Bill 178 expands the composition of the Council on Apprenticeship and Training to include a representative from Delaware Technical Community College and a superintendent of a vocational-technical school district. It also shortens the term length for council members from 3 to 2 years and ensures that the Chairperson of the Council serves for no more than 2 years.
