SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

SENATE BILL NO. 154

AMEND Senate Bill No. 154 by inserting the following after line 4:

“Section 2. Amend Section 4, Chapter 211, Volume 83 of the Laws of Delaware by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:

Section 4. The money appropriated to implement this Act, not to exceed $1 million, shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of funds in the General Fund of the State of Delaware not otherwise appropriated or eligible federal funds. § 3404 of Title 19 shall be as follows:

(1) For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, not to exceed $500,000 unless additional federal funds are available for this purpose.

(2) For fiscal years beginning July 1, 2024, not to exceed $1 million. ”.

SYNOPSIS

This Amendment provides that funding for the Focus on Alternative Skills Training Program (FAST) cannot exceed $500,000 in Fiscal Year 2024 unless additional federal funds are available and that in subsequent fiscal years, funding for FAST is not to exceed $1 million.
