SENATE SUBSTITUTE NO. 1

SENATE BILL NO. 163

Amend Senate Substitute No. 1 to Senate Bill No. 163 by adding the following after line 58: 

 “Section 3. Each charter school shall be required to submit the following information to the Department of Education annually, beginning January 30, 2024: A list of administrators employed by the school, their official titles, their licensure and certification status, and any state-level boards, commissions, or task forces they serve on. The Department of Education shall produce an annual report containing this information to the Senate Education Committee Chair and the House Education Committee Chair by March 15 each year. For the initial report required on January 30, 2024, each charter school shall supply this information to the Department of Education for the following school years: 2022-2023, 2021-2022, 2020-21. These reporting requirements expire on March 30, 2034.”

SYNOPSIS

This amendment adds annual reporting requirements to the bill and provides a sunset date for the reporting requirements.
