HOUSE BILL NO. 277

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 21 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO SPEED EXHIBITIONS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

Section 1. Amend § 4172, Title 21 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:

§ 4172. Speed exhibitions; drag races and other speed contests.

(i) The Court of Common Pleas has original jurisdiction of violations created by this section.

SYNOPSIS

This Act designates the Court of Common Pleas as the court with original jurisdiction of offenses under section 4172 of Title 21.
