AMEND Senate Substitute No. 1 for Senate Bill No. 2 on line 11 by inserting " immediately " after the comma and before " issue " therein.

SYNOPSIS

This Amendment requires prompt issuance of a permit if certain criteria are met by a handgun qualified purchaser. The present language, without this Amendment, could permit significant delay in the process.
