HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

HOUSE BILL NO. 319

AMEND House Bill No. 319 by deleting lines 9 through 15 and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

“ (b) By [60 days after the effective date of this Act], the General Assembly, the judicial branch, and elected state officers shall develop a policy prohibiting nepotism in employment in the legislative and judicial branch, as well as any office or agency led by an elected state officer. ”.

SYNOPSIS

This Amendment simplifies the provision relating to adoption of an anti-nepotism policy in parts of state government outside of the executive branch.
