SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

HOUSE BILL NO. 87

AMEND House Bill No. 87, as amended, on line 64 by inserting " Funding appropriated for the Program may not exceed $2,000,000 annually. " after the period and before " Any " therein.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 87, as amended, on line 78 by deleting "shall be effective upon appropriation by the General Assembly." after "Act" therein and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

"takes effect on the date of publication in the Register of Regulations of a notice by the Controller General that funds are appropriated to implement this Act. The Controller General shall provide notice to the Registrar of Regulations that funds were appropriated."

SYNOPSIS

This Amendment limits the Program funding to $2,000,000 annually, and changes the contingency language under Section 2 of the Act to conform with the Delaware Legislative Drafting Manual.
