HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

HOUSE BILL NO. 24

AMEND House Bill No. 24 by deleting lines 44 through 46 in their entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following:

“ (l) The Town of Delmar reserves the right to deny a voter registered in the State’s Voter Registration System if the voter is no longer a resident of the Town on the day of the election or is otherwise disqualified from voting under this Charter. ”.

SYNOPSIS

This amendment clarifies a reason a registered voter in the State's Voter Registration System may be challenged in a Town election.
