SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

SENATE BILL NO. 4

AMEND Senate Bill No. 4 on line 65 by inserting “ (1) ” between “ (e) ” and “ The ” therein.

FURTHER AMEND Senate Bill No. 4 between lines 65 and 66 by inserting the following:

“ (2) Notwithstanding paragraph (e)(1) of this section, the Inspector General may only contract for an audit if the Auditor of Accounts refuses to perform or contract for a requested audit. ”.

FURTHER AMEND Senate Bill No. 4 by deleting lines 275 through 284 in their entirety and redesignating accordingly.

SYNOPSIS

This Amendment clarifies that the Inspector General may only contract for an audit if the Auditor of Accounts refuses to perform or contract for a requested audit.
