SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 2

TO

SENATE BILL NO. 4

AMEND Senate Bill No. 4 after line 286 by inserting the following therein:

“Section 6. (1) Beginning July 1, 2032, the Joint Legislative Oversight and Sunset Committee (JLOSC) shall conduct a full review of the Office of Inspector General under § 10211 of Title 29.

(2) At the conclusion of the full review under paragraph (1) of this section, the JLOSC shall compile a report, separate from the annual report under § 10213 of Title 29, with any findings and recommendations. This report must address whether there are any recommended revisions to Chapter 90E of Title 29 and if the Office of Inspector General has sufficient resources.

(3) The JLOSC shall submit the report under paragraph (2) of this section to the General Assembly, the Governor, and the Director and the Librarian of the Division of Legislative Services, and the Delaware Public Archives. ”.

SYNOPSIS

This Amendment requires that beginning July 1, 2032, the Joint Legislative Oversight and Sunset Committee conduct a full review of the Office of Inspector General (OIG) and compile a report with findings and recommendations, including revisions to Chapter 90E of Title 29 and if the OIG has sufficient resources.
