HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

HOUSE BILL NO. 306

AMEND House Bill No. 306 on line 30 by inserting “ (a) ” before “ It ” therein.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 306 after line 38 and before line 39 by inserting the following:

“ (b) A person is in compliance with this section, if at the beginning of each interactive session, the person states, in a clear and conspicuous manner, “You are interacting with a computer, not a human.” ”.

SYNOPSIS

This Amendment to House Bill No. 306 provides a safe harbor, which provides that a person is not in violation of the Act if, at the beginning of each interactive session, the person states, in a clear and conspicuous manner, “You are interacting with a computer, not a human.”
